Is The Camp Chef Woodwind Wi-Fi 24 Grill Worth Buying?

You've probably heard the name "Camp Chef" tossed around if you've been looking for a new pellet grill. Camp Chef is a brand of residential propane cooking appliances.

However, their pellet grills, which have 20 different models, are the reason for their notoriety. The Woodwind Wi-Fi 24 is their newest and most advanced barbecue grill.

Others have questioned whether the grill is overhyped, despite widespread acclaim for its cutting-edge design and novel cooking experience. Because of this disagreement, I decided to put Woodwind 24 to the test in the hopes of finally bringing an end to it.

Learn all about the features and  benefits of Camp Chef Woodwind in this comprehensive review.

What Is Camp Chef?

Camp Chef began making outdoor cookers in Utah, unlike Traeger and Pit Boss. In the 1990s, their propane camp stove was a huge hit.

Camp Chef was founded on the idea that outdoor cooking could be improved. As a 20-year manufacturer, the company created portable BBQs, smokers, flat-top grills, and pellet grills.

Their Woodwind range gained popularity for its value and quality. The company values expert advice and customer service.

An Overview Of Camp Chef Woodwind Wi-Fi 24

The Woodwind Wi-Fi 24 is a pellet grill with 811 square inches of total cooking space and is part of the Woodwind range. This smoker grill adds a delicious smoky flavour to your food as it cooks by using wood pellets as fuel.

Wi-Fi connectivity is built in, so you can keep an eye on things even when you can't physically be there to do so. With a stainless steel body and a black steel hopper attached to the left of the pellet smoker, the

Woodwind 24 exudes an air of traditional smokehouse design. It lets you programme cook times, fine-tune your smoker's heat, and receive alerts on your phone when the meat has reached the desired temperature. You can control your grill just as easily from your phone as you can by interacting with it.

These pellets are distributed to the smoker's fire pot from the hopper. To further disperse the heat, a pan sits atop the firepot. Its job is to disperse the heat so that the grill cooks evenly.

Another reason I adore this instrument is that a sear box can be attached to the Woodwind 24. It can reach temperatures of up to 900 degrees Fahrenheit, allowing you to get those perfect seared marks on your meat.

Here is an in-depth look at some of the impressive advantages of using the Woodwind 24.

Large Hopper Capacity

When buying a wood pellet grill, I first check its pellet capacity. Most pellet grills I've had were small, so I had to fill them often. The Woodwind can hold 22lbs, enough for a 20lb bag. Most pellet grills can only take half a bag, so you must store the rest.

Woodwind 24 makes adding pellets easy. The new grill's quick pellet purge function is another plus. It lets you swap pellets or empty leftovers. This grill feature eliminates the need to manually scoop pellets.

Adjustable Smoke Level

Woodwind 24's smoke setting is adjustable. This is a handy feature that a regular grill lacks.

Woodwind 24 allows 1-10 selections. Once the number is selected, the grill automatically adjusts the burn and pellet feed rates to create less or more smoke. The Woodwind 24 lets you control the smoke for delicate cuts and ribs, and briskets. This was helpful when smoking fish. Since I held the smoke and heat, the fish didn't stick or crumble.

Simple Ash Cleanup

Ash buildup is annoying to the manufacturer. Too much buildup can make the burn cup difficult to light.

But not with the Camp Chef Wood Wind 24. All of that is lever-operated. You can collect the burn pot's contents with a removable cup. The pellet smoker has a slider rod to move the burner pot up and down. Ash is collected in a cup after being deposited by a plate that moves when its pull rod is released. The drip pan, heat deflector, and drip tray stayed put while I cleaned.

Simple to Use

It's easy to use this pellet grill. You turn it on, set the temperature using the dial or an app, and the pellet grill does the rest. You don't have to be in the same room as it cooks.

Ash cleanout, pellet chute, adjustable smoke levels, and direct grilling simplify the process. Upper and lower grates can be rearranged to increase or decrease the cooking surface. This helped me cook multiple meats at once.

Is Wood Wind Wifi 24 Worth It?

This pellet grill seems versatile, easy to use, and all-around excellent. Grilling, smoking, and searing on the same unit saves time, money, and space.

The Woodwind 24 has many features, including Wi-Fi and an innovative hopper system, at a great price.
