Guest Quarters

It's true that this hotel is on the smaller side and doesn't have as many features as larger chains, but that's only half the story.

Although spacious, the room could not be classified as a suite. The big, square room had a king-sized bed, a desk, an attached chair, and an open closet. Both the desk and the bedside table had plenty of power outlets. The cost was fair, and the rooms had just been renovated.

The bathroom, which was sizable even by New York standards, had a spacious, enclosed glass shower with a sleek spray head. Sadly, the water pressure is insufficient to wash your hair due to conservation efforts properly. With its soothing ginseng scent, I got used to the shower's pump-style shampoo and conditioner by the Prija brand. There was a problem with the shampoo's pump, so I had to remove the bottle's cap. The sink kept hand soap and lotion of the same brand for convenient use.

Services/Amenities

The hotel partners with a nearby eatery and gives guests a QR code to place orders. The service was prompt and hassle-free.

The remarkable and sizable balcony was the cherry on top of this "suite's" already delicious design. I could have had a cocktail party for ten people out there, and everyone would have had a great time because of the beautiful scenery. If Mad Men's Don Draper saw the balcony, he might approve of it. I would have spent the entire afternoon working out there if the temperature had been a bit higher; make sure to wear sunscreen. On the balcony were two chaise lounges, a chair, and three side tables. Spectacular!
